The feature documentary On Life's Terms: Mothers In Recovery focuses on the three-year struggle of five drug-addicted mothers who enter an innovative residential treatment program to transform a life of domestic violence, prostitution and incarceration to parent their children. The program teaches the women skills for recovery, parenting and self-sufficiency.  Filmed on location in San Rafael, California, the film follows the women through the transitional phase and re-entry to the community.  With fewer restrictions can the women rise to the challenges of a new job, being a single mom and fending off temptation? As their story unfolds, the film takes an unflinching look at America’s war on drugs aimed at pregnant and parenting women with addictions and the legacy on their children.
