Grasping at Aspirations
![]() Kara L. Herold Grasping at Aspirations Part I Warrior 3: A Tale of Meager Transcendence This multimedia comedic “live documentary” tells the story of an artist struggling to reconcile her artistic aspirations, with her work as an Audio Visual Technician. Blending fiction with autobiography, theater with film, my alter-ego “Kara” seeks advice from her Zen Teacher and second-wave, feminist mother, who both have very different responses to her predicament. So, using the tools of her AV trade – laser pointers, projectors, and even medical slides – Kara envisions her own experimental path that connects Zen, AV work, and contemporary feminism, allowing her to glimpse her own version of success. | When making a fiscal sponsorship donation with a credit card, 3% is deducted from the donation amount to cover the merchant account processing fees.
