The Executioner Dreams of a Better Life
Amanda Pike & Adam Keker
From 1975 to 1979, Pol Pot and the Khmers Rouges were responsible for the deaths of 1.7 million people in Cambodia. In this feature-length documentary, members of Pol Pot’s inner circle try to explain what happened. This is a story of how the perpetrators of a genocide struggle to come to terms with their past. How do they narrate their history? How do they justify the choices they made thirty years ago?
