Meet Mary Pleasant, a colorful, award-winning 60-minute documentary film by Emmy Award–winning producer Susheel Bibbs, reveals the saga of abolitionist/activist/millionaire Mary Ellen Pleasant.  Born a slave in George in 1817, Pleasant rose to become the most talked about woman in San Francisco. She was a Martin Luther King, a Rosa Parks, and a Malcolm X combined, who rescued slaves and opened jobs for African Americans, and helped change modern day-civil rights.  Ruby Dee narrates, and the film solves mysteries surrounding this remarkable life.
