To assist the Marketing & Membership department develop the online news magazine SF360.org, which is a copublication of the San Francisco Film Society and indieWIRE. This involves but is not limited to data entry, outreach emails and creative thinking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in film, magazines and online media. This position is unpaid.

Responsibilities
  • Outreach for SF360.org. This includes growing the site's MySpace and other social networking sites, posting on various online groups and websites, entering data and sending out targeted emails.
  • Other relevant tasks as needed

Qualifications
  • Minimum part time commitment 20-30 hour week (three days a week)
  • Detail-oriented, able to take instruction, take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Professional demeanor. The intern represents the Film Society when speaking with customers and media outlets.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Must be able to express oneself clearly, thoroughly and politely.
  • Must be able to work some evenings.
  • Proficiency in Web applications and HTML a plus.
  • Proficiency in Filemaker a plus.
