The Film Society uses volunteers year-round, and especially during the San Francisco International Film Festival. Most volunteers are scheduled by using the SFFS Volunteer Shiftboard. If you would like to join our team, fill out the online Volunteer Application to get registered and begin using the Shiftboard.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, ranging from students to retirees. We provide a positive, respectful and friendly environment for people who support film and want to help create exciting events that celebrate cinema. Qualified volunteers have a love for film, understand the importance of being reliable and enjoy working with the public.

There are year-round opportunities to help with the Film Society. Specify that you are available year-round in the online application. This will put you on the notification list for volunteer opportunities happening throughout the year such as education screenings, office assistance and special events.

For more information email volunteer@sffs.org.

We will review your application once it has been submitted and contact you with volunteer opportunities that match your requests.

Review the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
