D tour
Jim Granato
Pat Spurgeon is a professional musician whose dreams of being in a successful working rock n roll band have come true. But just as his band, Rogue Wave, starts to take off, his kidney starts to fail. Pat's choice to keep touring and working toward the band's goals is put to the test; the absolute need to find a potential organ donor, perform dialysis daily, and to focus on his health become top priority while being on the road.
Default: The Student Loan Documentary
Serge Bakalian and Aurora Meneghello
Default is a feature-length documentary chronicling the
stories of borrowers from different backgrounds affected by the private
student lending industry and their struggles to change the system.  In 2005
private student loans were exempted from all consumer protections.  No
matter when their loans were taken, many borrowers find themselves in a
paralyzing predicament of repaying two, three or multiple times the original
amount borrowed, with no bankruptcy protection, no cap on fees and penalties
and no recourse to the law.

The Disposable Film Festival
Carlton Evans and Eric Slatkin
The Disposable Film Festival was created in 2007 to celebrate the artistic potential of disposable video: short films made on non-professional devices such as one-time use video cameras, cell phones, point and shoot cameras, webcams, computer screen capture software, and other readily available video capture devices. The DFF hosts screenings, competitions, workshops and other events to showcase the best work within the disposable genre.
Down in a Hole
Nathan Friedkin
Doug is bipolar. He’s talented, intelligent and also suicidal. Intermittently barely able to function, he won’t leave his New York apartment for weeks at a time. Nathan, a filmmaker and childhood friend of Doug’s, attempts a drastic intervention. What begins as a mutual exploration catapults Nathan into a gut-wrenching crash course about the insidious nature of bipolar disorder. Audiences will be moved to reflect upon their own ideas about mental illness and friendship, and challenged to bridge the gap between the two.
