A Quiet Inquisition
Holen Sabrina Kahn & Alessandra Zeka
A Quiet Inquisition recounts the experience of women, doctors and activists in El Salvador and Nicaragua where the termination of pregnancy, even if it is in response to a result of rape, incest, or to save the woman’s life, is a criminal offense that is actively prosecuted. Shot on location, the characters speak forcefully in first person accounts as powerful witnesses to their own experiences, taking viewers on a surreal journey that slowly unravels how the prohibitions function in everyday life.
