X to Y
Matt Sobel
Have you ever experienced a gut instinct, an intuitive feeling that draws you towards another person? In X to Y unborn children roam in a desert landscape whispering into an X and Y crystal orb to guide their prospective parents together so that they can be born. One prebirth has been unsuccessful for over 5,000 years. Is he ready this time?
Xavier Viramontes Printmaker
Michel Fraser
A profile of printmaker Xavier Viramontes, an influential artist of our time. His iconoclast silk screen poster, Boycott Grapes, for the United Farm Workers awakened a nation and rallied the Chicano movement in art. The film showcases the man at work in his studio interwoven with a retrospective of his art.
