Volunteer
The Film Society's year-round Youth Education screenings and events rely on the assistance of hard-working volunteers who help with a variety of tasks such as setting up the theater, welcoming school groups, ushering and running mics for Q&A. Also of value is assistance in the office with mailings, research and database support.
Internships
Youth Education is always in need of capable interns to assist with both year-round programming and the Schools at the Festival program during SFIFF. Energetic people with good organizational skills, previous work in formal or informal education settings and an interest in film are strongly preferred. Benefits include Festival, press and preview screenings and Film Society membership. Youth Education internships never fail to be both enlightening and inspiring!
Community Involvement
The Film Society's continued ability to serve the students of the Bay Area relies on the invaluable support of sponsors and funders of all kinds. The list of needs grows along with the program, including: screening venues, film and video projection equipment, lodging for guests and, of course, cash donations of any size.
